I am a senior citizen who blogs at http://kaimhanta.blogspot.com. I am writing to you to express my disgust with the journalist community.
I recently wrote a scathing post on Mumbai's potholes-roads, and I find out from someone else today, aug 1, 2011, that DNA Mumbai has published this without my permission or consent on page 6.
This is the post. And this is what they published in DNA Mumbai edition, page 6.
Is this the ethics in journalism ? Just because you are a powerful newspaper, can you lift stuff of any blogs , when I even have a Creative Commons Licence ? What stops newspapers from sending a polite email request and getting an OK ? I have been published bi IE before July 19,2006, on the edit page, and they paid compensation without my having to ask.
Is there an apex body that handles such things ? We spend as much time doing our posts as any journalist writing an article. You cannot just lift something and give an internet link.
