Chanakya's US verdict

IN Media Watch Briefs | 26/09/2016
Today's Chanakya, which shot into the headlines in May 2014 for predicting an absolute majority for the Narendra Modi-led NDA combine, is clearly not content to confine its energies to India alone. A day before the first debate between US presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, the polling agency has published the result of its opinion poll on the outcome of the elections. According to it, Clinton has a seven percentage point lead over her rival and would win comfortably if elections were held today. The poll is based on 3764 respondents who are registered American voters and comes at a time when diverse polls in the US seem to indicate the the margin between Trump and Clinton is narrowing fast. Will Today's Chanakya pull off a 2014 redux in the case of the US elections?
