Drowned out by the Jat reservation rally in the next enclosure, Journalists from Chhattisgarh joined the many petitioners at Jantar Mantar on Tuesday to protest the arrest of their colleagues in that state. The speakers included those who had been jailed for short periods of time for their reports and were out on bail. They were demanding the release of four still in jail. “Journalism is dying in Chhattisgarh, save it,” said a speaker. The protest has been organised by the Patrakar Suraksha Kanoon Sanyukt Sangharsh Samiti of Chhattisgarh.
