On Tuesday night (Nov 14) ABP News went from communal sensation-mongering to rendering its own expose a damp squib in the space of a single news story at prime time. Its reporter set out to find out why some homes in Ahmedabad's housing societies woke up in the morning to find a red cross marked on their front doors. Whats more it was only on the doors of Muslim residents. Who,what, why? Those questions never really got answered. In going from colony to colony the reporter ended up finding that the mark was not only on the doors of Muslim homes, and that the corporation and some kind of a GPS-based garbage collection drive was behind it.
