In the first 10 days of the month so far three new cases of sedition have been filed, one each in Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and in Tamil Nadu. There were two arrests for sedition in Punjab and Haryana, and one case of denial of bail in a sedition case to Hardik Patel in Gujarat. But on the positive side, the case of sedition booked against the folk singer Kovan in Tamil Nadu was dismissed this month.
