Freaking out on Salman

IN Media Watch Briefs | 07/05/2015

Shailaja Bajpai underscored in the Indian Express the news TV's Salman Khan obsession but the print media was not far behind. In Mumbai the Hindustan Times had as many as 15 stories, apart from graphics and boxed quotes galore. Times of India ran 21 and had more graphics than the HT, devoting an entire page to how the accident scene looked. Indian Express gave its readers a dozen items. DNA settled for 14 but tried to outdo TOI in graphics. If Prannoy Roy says TV is gripped by the tabloid attitude, the print broadsheets are close behind.
