The Indian Express reports that the Amicus Curate to the HC submitted before the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Saturday that the Delhi-based journalist Tariq Anwar who filed a report for Firstpost on the alleged cases of gangrape in Murthal, Haryana, had produced false and fabricated evidence, and should be prosecuted for doing so. He made the submission on the basis of a report by a special investigation team (SIT) which found that the voice in the audio recording submitted by the reporter was not that of the victim. This Hoot report in February this year had found other reporting of this case also problematic.
