Indian Express editor Shekhar Gupta has written to his staff congratulating those who have cut wastage and initiated savings, inviting suggestions from employees for further cost saving, and declaring that Chairman Vivek Goenka and he will "  take substantial cuts and deferrals in our respective compensations." No other employees are to be affected for now, he says.
