Homes for journos

IN Media Watch Briefs | 27/08/2016

A state that is due to go to the polls cannot afford to get tough with journalists. After the Supreme Court said allotment of govt property to private bodies or persons should be discontinued, the UP govt asked journalists to vacate govt housing. Then 300 affected journos met the CM  and voila, the good CM said he would come up with a scheme for offering houses to journalists at subsidised rates. As the Hoot reported earlier, the Telangana CM has bestowed similar largesse on journalists in his state.  There the flats are virtually free of cost.
