On Thursday, the media fraternity in Bangalore was agog with the news that a reporter of a leading English daily was among 11 arrested on suspicion of planning terror attacks in the State. The charges, when they were revealed, raised many an eyebrow. Reporters on the beat in other newspapers were surprised that their colleague could be a suspect. Now, it is up to the police to prove in court that there was indeed something serious and that they have not kicked up dust for nothing.
