Radio Mirchi has been sent a show cause notice by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to explain why it should not be penalised for a jingle which discourages foreign tourists from coming to India, and thereby violates the AIR Code. It aired a campaign #MatAaoIndia after yet another attack on foreign tourists occurred. Its jingle cited different attacks and ended: Coming to India is injurious to health/Guests are not gods.
