A Mumbai Press Club release says a dispute between a security agency which inflicted injuries on journalists in late 2016 and the three journalists who brought charges against them has been settled with the company Tops Security agreeing to pay Rs 30 lakh towards a journalists welfare fund. The dispute before the Press Council of India relates to an incident of 4 November 2016, when photo-journalists who had gathered outside Bombay House to cover the Tata Sons dispute involving then chairman Cyrus Mistry, were injured in a melee involving Tops Security guards. The release said the Tata Group company ABCL, which owns and maintains Bombay House, facilitated the agreement.
