The BJP has nominated two editors and a former editor of a Sangh Parivar organ to the Rajya Sabha. Chandan Mitra and Ajay Maroo are editors of the Pioneer and The Ranchi Express respectively, and Tarun Vijay whom Wikipedia describes as "a famous freelance journalist" was a long time editor of the RSS organ Panchajanya.
