Marxist manhandling

According to an editorial in the Hindustan Times the Marxist government in West Bengal is displaying frequent signs of paranoiia about the press. Towards the end of September members of the CPI(M)-backed coordination committee manhandled reporters when they went to the secretariat to cover the impact of an half day strike. A few days before that the chief minister shooed away journalists  from a function to which they were invited claiming that he wanted speak his mind and did not want them listening in. This is in sharp contrast to his fellow Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu who annoys his bureaucrats by pulling them up in front of the press.
