Outlook Group taken to labour court

In quite an unprecedented case since the era of contracts changed the terms of employment in news organizations, all the employees at the main publishing centre of People India in Mumbai have sought and received from the Labour Court in Mumbai relief  from being terminated. Hon. P K Chitnis granted relief to the staff including the editor, and asked the publishers, Rajan Raheja-owned Outlook Group to maintain status quo,  and directed that their services  not be terminated without due process of law. The Group shut down three franchise editons recently including People India.
