The first 3 weeks of data for English news TV viewing (post-Republic) establish the following: In absolute numbers Republic TV's viewership dropped from 2117 in Week 19 to 1703 in Week 20 (20% drop) and then to 1014 in Week 21 (40% drop). Comparative data for other English news channels is only available for all 7 days for the first week since they withdrew from BARC's audience measurement at the end of the second week and returned in the 4th week of Republic's existence. In its 3rd week Republic's viewing was 47% of its first week, suggesting that it did begin with multiple placement in different genres and then stopped doing it. So we will have to wait for Week 22 data to see how it really compares with the others, unless it decides to do multiple placement again!
