Selective amnesia
Citing a new CAG report, Times Now on April 12 did a story under the garb of an exclusive on how the discretionary quota has been misused to grab land in the state of Odisha. The story blamed and named politicians and bureaucrats. But strangely, it failed to mention that several journalists, including Times of India's Bhubaneswar-based bureau chief, Rajaram Satpathy, were among the beneficiaries of the discretionary quota.(See the Express print edition.)
