Sour grapes?
Why is Outlook magazine’s two-page report on the entry of FDI so one-sided and patently erroneous? The magazine essentially spoke only to those who had opposed it, floated a rollback theory, and insisted that papers which had criticised the Government on Gujarat were being penalised. It ignored the fact that the pro-FDI Indian Express had done very sustained and courageous reporting on Gujarat. Does Outlook’s tone have something to do with rival India Today’s victory in this particular battle?
