Given the general hoopla over the Budget, Amit Shah's elevation as BJP president generated few editorials. You would have thought that some sober press comment was merited on the choice, and what it signals. But only two newspapers wrote, and the Hindustan Times amazingly said not a word about the man's record. The Indian Express however did, and needs to be lauded for reminding us of the underside to Mr Shah's career. The Hindu was silent.
