This article in Business Insider  is about a study conducted on 40 journalists in association with the London Press Club.  The results showed that journalists' brains were operating at a lower level than the average  population because of  drinking too much, dehydration and too much caffeine, and high-sugar foods. It found that Journalists' have a below-average ability to regulate their emotions, suppress biases, solve complex problems, switch between tasks, and show creative and flexible thinking.
