TV decorum

IN Media Watch Briefs | 17/01/2013

Can anchors , journalists and guests just say anything they want on air without any qualms about maintaining basic civility ? On Wednesday night on the Times Now programme the channel's defence analyst ,Maroof Raza, told a Pakistani guest to "SHUT UP" on air. The anchor Arnab Goswami did not reprimand him or apologise for the unacceptable television language/decorum. Are all basic principles or journalism being thrown to the winds in the name of 'patriotic' news agendas?
