Tehelka journalist Mathew Samuel, who was presented in court to give testimony in the arms deal against Defence Ministry officials refused to testify. He says the CBI had promised him to reimburse him but “had not even paid him the Rs. 200 daily allowance”. Now, Samuel has demanded Rs. 10,000 per day to testify because “Rs. 200 per day is a pittance for a professional like him.
