The Press Council of India has constituted a three-member fact-finding team to probe two cases of violence against journalists in Andhra Pradesh. PCI chairman Justice CK Prasad has asked the state government to take necessary remedial steps so that journalists are allowed to carry out their professional obligations without any impediment. On January 4, there was an attack on G Stephen Babu, editor of Crime Today, not long after the murder of MNV Shankar, a part-time correspondent of Andhra Prabha. (PTI)
