Starting 23rd October BARC India will release rural TV viewership data, it announced today. Doordarshan is waiting for it in the hope that it will magically produce evidence of a bigger viewership for the public broadcaster. Other private channels are watching out for it will a degree of apprehension---nobody knows for sure what it will show!
