Anyone who is 45 minutes late for a press conference should apologise. But BJP's man in Tripura Sunil Deodhar offered neither apology nor explanation when he turned up at 3.45 pm for a 3 pm meet at the Mumbai Press Club. Deodhar is from Mumbai, and should have known how long the commute would take. He accused the media of making less noise about the murder of journalist Sudip Dutta Bhowmik than they did about the death of journalist Santanu Bhowmik. While the latter was allegedly killed by members of the IPF of Tripura with whom the BJP had an electoral alliance in the state, the former was shot dead by a Tripura State Rifles constable. But a quick search shows that both generated equal outrage in the media.
