The Hindu¿s journalism excites its readers less than in its crossword puzzles do. On Nov. 26 the paper¿s Readers Editor describes a series of reactions when the paper mistakenly carried the previous day¿s clues with one of its crosswords. One reader found time to complain on the day of his daughter¿s marriage, and others said they bought the paper only on account of the crossword and threw it into the wastepaper basket when they discovered the lapse.
