IN Media Watch Briefs | 13/05/2015
HT in Mumbai says the editor of a city-based Hindi newspaper was arrested for allegedly molesting a sub-editor working there. "The complainant told the police that the accused would often touch her inappropriately in the office. The woman approached the management, but to no avail. She was then fired from the job following which she lodged the complaint with the Tardeo police on May 7. The accused was arrested and was subsequently released on Rs 10,000 bond by a local court,” said another officer from the Tardeo police station." But since we are circumspect about our tribe you won't know who the offender is, and which paper both worked for.

Clearly, the run to the 2019 elections is on. A journalist received a call from someone saying they were from Aajtak channel and were conducting a survey, asking whom she was going to vote for in 2019. On being told that her vote was secret, the caller assumed she wasn't going to vote for 'Modiji'. The caller, a woman, also didn't identify herself. A month or two earlier the same journalist received a call, this time from a man, asking if she was going to vote for the BSP.
