As Press Trust of India (PTI) chief editor M.K. Razdan bows out after four decades in the organisation, the country's foremost news agency is at the centre of a controversy surrounding cases of sexual harassment against its former senior principal correspondent in Goa, Rupesh Samant. This month the charges against him feature in a report by the International Federation of Journalists which has been endorsed by the Unicef and UNDEF. Critics say that it is deplorable that despite Samant's involvement in more than one sexual harassment case and his indictment by an international body of journalists, PTI continues to avail of his services as a stringer from Goa.
